Please join us on Sunday, August 9th as Pastor Lem delivers the message, "Take a Walk".    

In the Bible, Jesus rescues Peter and his friends from tumultuous waters and chaos, bringing calm and peace to an otherwise chaotic scene.  Peter reaches out to Jesus for help, and Jesus gives him the assistance he needs.  It's the same in our world today... tumultuous, stormy, chaotic at times.... but we have the ability to reach out to Jesus to help us too. 

Scripture focus is Matthew 14:22-33.  This verse is a powerful reminder of the importance of faith and trust in times of doubt and difficulty. It tells the story of Jesus walking on water, a miraculous and awe-inspiring moment that defies the laws of nature. When Peter sees Jesus walking on the water, he wants to join him and walks towards him on the water. However, when Peter starts to doubt and fear sets in, he begins to sink. Jesus immediately reaches out his hand and saves him as he cries out to Jesus for help in that moment.

We welcome you to join us this Sunday at Eastgate as we ponder the ability of Jesus to save us from the chaos of the deep and draw us to safety.
