Please join us on October 4th  at Eastgate as we celebrate World Communion Sunday.  This day has special significance as Christians across the world will partake in this celebration of unity.  

Pastor Lem will bring the message, "That They Be One", stressing the importance of finding a unity of spirit  to affirm our oneness in Christ especially in this time when social and political divisions are so pronounced among us and we find ourselves separated by political ideology and ethical issues. We are one body. In the Crucifixion, Christ’s body was broken by the very same forces which divide us today. In the Resurrection the brokenness is healed and the body makes us one again. 

Scripture focus is:  John 17. 6-10, 20-21, I Cor 11.23-26, Philippians 2.1-13.  These passages share a clear, connected theme: Christ creates a united people through His self-giving love, and believers are called to express that unity through humility, service, and remembrance.
