Please join us for worship on Sunday as Pastor Whitmer brings us the message, "What Defiles".  

To defile something in the biblical sense is to desecrate, violate or debase something.  Actions can defile property... we can see evidence of that everyday in our surroundings.  What is less apparent is how our actions and words can defile our relationships.  What Jesus is teaching here is that when we do or say a defiling thing, it affects everything and everyone around it, much like a ripple effect.  But if our actions are constructive and loving, the ripple effect still works. If one does good things, good spreads out and fills the universe with good and Godly things. Then, the results are healing and full of love – God’s love. 

Scripture focus is Matthew 15:10-28.  This passage emphasizes that true faith and purity come from the heart, not from outward appearances or religious traditions.
