brings us the message, "Reunion". 

When thinking about a family reunion, we can all picture the idyllic gathering of family, food, love and laughter.  Unfortunately, that isn't always the reality.  Some families have histories of pain caused by jealousy, envy, and hate. Sometimes, families have split up and have seemingly unresolvable factions.

When Joseph had an unexpected reunion with his brothers some years after they sold him into slavery, he could have understandably sought revenge for his jealous brothers' actions.  Instead, he responded with  generosity, compassion, and grace,  reflected in Jesus’ own teachings over a thousand years later.  The account of Joseph and his brothers can become a model of reconciliation.  Please join us as we learn more about true reunion and the power of forgiveness.

Scripture focus:  Genesis 45:1-15   In this scripture, Joseph demonstrates tremendous strength and grace in this powerful verse by revealing his true identity to his brothers who had betrayed him by selling him into slavery. This act of forgiveness is a true testament to Joseph’s character and shows us the importance of letting go of resentment and embracing forgiveness in order to move forward.
